Yelapa, Mexico

Yelapa is a village which is accessible by boat from Puerto Vallarta. It has no automobiles (a couple of all-terrain vehichles), but there are horses, mules, boats and bicycles for transport. While there I saw the largest evening sky phenomena of my life. An apparent meteor burned bright and huge in the sky as I stood in shock and awe watching from my palapa overlooking Bahia Bay. It was a truly remarkable vacation and artist's workshop.

Pears at Grand Central Bakery. S.E. Hawthorne Blvd. and 23rd.

I have framed a series of pears which I painted last year, mostly in the middle of the night, when there are no distractions and the muse arrives. I will be hanging about 10 pieces tomorrow with the help of my sons. The show will be up for about a month and you are invited to have a cup of tea, a delicious baked treat, and enjoy my paintings. They are $45.00 each and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Oregon Food Bank.
